Pick a teammate! We are looking to cast teams of two: a child (8-15 years of age) and a senior adult (approximately 65 years or older). The relationship between the child and senior adult should be a close friend or family member like a grandparent & grandchild or great-aunt/uncle & great-niece/nephew.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND RELEASE AND IF YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS, SIGN BELOW.

ELIGIBILITY & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

This is an application for consideration to be a contestant on the game show television series entitled “Generation Gap” (the “Series”) produced by Finnmax LLC (“Producer”). The following eligibility requirements MUST be met in order to proceed with the application process:

1. a. Child contestant must be between 8 and 15 years old as of April 2024;

b. Adult contestants must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their state of residence) as of April 2024.

2. All contestants must be legal United States residents. Proof of such residency must be provided in a form acceptable to Producer.

3. Contestants on the same team must have a pre-existing close and/or familial relationship, as determined by Producer in its sole discretion.

4. Neither a contestant nor any of contestant’s immediate family members (including, without limitation, spouse, ex-spouse, parents, children, siblings, step-siblings or those living in the same household as contestant (whether related or not) currently is, or has been within the past year, a full-time employee (excluding interns, temporary hires, and short-term independent contractors), officer, or director of any of the following:

i. American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (“Network”), its parents, related, affiliated or subsidiary entities or any affiliated television station, or any television station that broadcasts or exhibits the Series;
ii. Producer, UAMG Content, LLC, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Studios, 12:05 AM Productions, LLC, Kimmelot Productions, Milojo Productions, Inc., or any of their respective direct or indirect parents, divisions, subsidiaries and/or affiliated companies in the media and entertainment divisions of Amazon.com, Inc., and each of their respective licensees, successors or assigns;
iii. Any other party directly involved with the production, administration and/or exhibition of the Series;
iv. Any known, major sponsors of the Series;
v. Any host(s) (and/or other on-camera talent) or any entity substantially owned or controlled by any host(s) (and/or other on-camera talent); or
vi. Any person or entity supplying services or prizes to the Series.

In addition, Producer reserves the right to render ineligible any person who Producer determines, in its sole discretion, is sufficiently connected with the production, administration or distribution of the Series such that their participation in the Series could create the appearance of impropriety.

5. No contestant may currently be a candidate for public office and must agree not to become a candidate for public office until at least 1 year following the initial broadcast of the final episode of the Series in which he/she/they appear, if selected as a contestant.

6. No adult contestant may have been convicted of a felony in the last 10 years (unless expunged).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

7. All child contestants must have a parent or legal guardian that will accompany him/her/them to set on tape day, be willing to appear on camera, and cheer on from the audience.

8. All teams must have additional family members and/or close family friends that can, at Producer’s sole discretion, accompany them to set on tape day, be willing to appear on camera, and cheer on from the audience.

9. As directed by Producer, all contestants must voluntarily submit to and complete a background check, in accordance with applicable laws, and execute all documents required by Producer in connection with such background check.

10. Contestants must timely complete (i) this Casting Application (and agreed to be bound by the Casting Release), (ii) if invited to advance in the casting process for the Series, the Contestant Agreement (which will be furnished by Producer) and (iii) any other documents that Producer may require in its sole discretion.

11. Contestants will need to be available (dates TBD) for the production of the Series, as well as any promotional appearances required by Producer and/or exhibitors of the Series. Contestants will need to keep Producer reasonably apprised of any conflicts that may arise between their schedule and the production or promotional schedule of the Series.

12. All eligibility determinations shall be made by Producer in its sole discretion, and are final and binding, and not subject to challenge or appeal. Producer reserves the right to add to, remove from or modify the eligibility requirements at any time.

CASTING RELEASE *

In consideration for my possible appearance in the game show television series entitled “Generation Gap” (the “Series”) being produced by Finnmax LLC (“Producer”) and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, I hereby agree as follows: 1. My Story. In connection with my casting application (“Application”) to be considered as a potential participant in the Series (if selected by Producer), I will be asked by Producer to share information about my life (my "Story", as more fully defined below). I may also be asked to supply photographs, home movies, etc. (collectively, “Material”) as part of the casting process. 2. Accuracy. All statements I make to Producer and all information I provide in connection with my Application will be accurate and true. No third party rights will be violated by supplying my Story to Producer or the use of that Story (including the Material) in connection with the Series. If any of the information provided by me in connection with my potential participation in the Series is found to be false, misleading or incomplete, this may be grounds for removing me from the casting process or ending my participation in the Series itself, if selected. 3. Rights Granted. In connection with my Application, I grant to Producer and any television network or station broadcasting or otherwise distributing the Series, and each of their respective assigns, successors, parent, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their respective licensees and advertisers (collectively, the “Producer and Distribution Entities”), the irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license (but not the obligation) to interview me, to photograph, film, tape, and/or otherwise record such interviews, and to otherwise record, depict and re-enact my Story (which includes my name, voice, likeness, and any Material I provide and all other information I supply to Producer or which otherwise relates to my Story) and to use such recordings and/or Materials in and in connection with the Series. My contribution to the Series is specially ordered or commissioned by Producer as part of an audiovisual work as a work made for hire for Producer. 4. Use of Materials Supplied By Me. I understand that Producer may make edits or changes to the Story and Material for a variety of reasons (such as to edit for time, clarity, etc.). 5. Release of Claims; Remedies. I will not assert or maintain, or consent that others assert or maintain, any claim or action of any kind whatsoever against Producer and/or any of the Producer and Distribution Entities arising out of, resulting from, or by reason of my Application; the application or casting process for the Series itself; Producer’s use of my Story and/or Material; anything contained in the Series or in the advertising or publicity issued in connection therewith; or the use by Producer or its successors, licensees or assigns of recordings made of me in connection with the Series (including without limitation that such use violates any of my rights or portrays me in a defamatory, false and/or negative light). In no event shall I be entitled to enjoin, seek to enjoin, or otherwise inhibit the production, distribution or exhibition of the Series for any reason. 6. Restrictions on Publicity. I will not myself, or authorize others to (a) publicize or promote my appearance, or potential appearance, on the Series by any means, or (b) disclose to any party any confidential information obtained or learned as a result of my participation in the Series. As used herein, "confidential information" includes (without limitation) the identities of other potential or actual participants in the Series. 7. Other Agreements. If Producer selects me for further consideration in the casting process, I will be asked to complete and execute further agreements (collectively “Contestant Agreements”). I acknowledge and agree that unless and until I execute such Contestant Agreements, Producer may choose not to consider me as a possible participant for the Series. 8. Additional Casting Activities. I may be asked to participate in interviews with Producer via Skype, Zoom or otherwise (which may or may not be recorded by Producer) and I must be willing to do so if requested, and I acknowledge that Producer, in its sole discretion will determine who among the people interviewed will be placed into the pool of potential contestants. I shall voluntarily submit to a background check, if and as requested by Producer (and agree to execute all consents and releases in connection therewith). I understand and agree that all decisions by the Producer concerning the selection of the contestants are final and not subject to challenge or appeal. 9. Miscellaneous. I hereby represent and warrant that I have the right to enter into this Release and the right to grant the rights granted hereunder. I further represent and warrant that I have reviewed and understand the Series eligibility requirements. This Release and all questions arising hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and decisions of the State of California (but not its conflict of law rules). I agree that any controversy, claim or dispute hereunder will be submitted to final, confidential and binding arbitration before a single, neutral arbitrator in Los Angeles County, California for determination in accordance with the JAMS Streamlined (for claims under $250,000) or the JAMS Comprehensive (for claims over $250,000) arbitration rules and procedures (including its optional appeal procedure) as the exclusive remedy. By agreeing to this binding arbitration provision, I hereby give up all rights to a trial by jury. This Release constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between me and Producer concerning the subject matter hereof, and supersedes and replaces all prior negotiations, proposed agreements and agreements, written and oral, relating thereto. This Release may be freely assigned, in whole or in part, by Producer. I agree I may not assign, in whole or in part, this Release.
